O Bright morning, how we greet you,
as the grave gives way to love!
Death and evil could not hold him,
Lord of life now reigns above!
Now we bring our hearts rejoicing,
Christ now lives forever more!
Now he meets us in the garden
as our tears drop to the earth.
Where they meet, life springs up laughing,
bursting forth with joy and mirth

In our rooms of grief and mourning,
as we gather filled with fear,
Suddenly he stands among us,
Peace replacing every tear!
Now we bring our hearts rejoicing,
Christ now lives forever more!
Now he meets us on the seashore,
calling us to come and eat.
Such abundance laid before us,
offered new each time we meet.
Now we bring our hearts rejoicing,
Christ now lives forevermore!
